About Blessing Ojuah
Blessing Ojuah, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Godaelli Psychiatry. She provides evidence-based mental health care for preteens, teens, adults, and older adults, most often for anxiety, depression and mood disorders, and ADHD.
With nearly a decade of nursing experience behind her, Blessing looks at the whole person: physical health, emotional well-being, family dynamics, and the circumstances someone is actually living in. She’s especially drawn to people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, and she treats a client’s own involvement as part of the work rather than something extra.
I believe treatment works best when clients actively participate in decision-making and goal setting.
What you can expect from your first session
The first session is a conversation about the full picture. Blessing will ask about your concerns, your medical and mental health history, the stressors you’re managing now, and what you’re hoping to get out of care, and she’ll make room for whatever questions you bring. By the end, the two of you will have started shaping a treatment plan built around your particular needs and circumstances.
During the first session, I focus on getting to know you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.
Getting to know Blessing
Blessing chose mental health because she’s always been drawn to helping people through the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and because her years in nursing showed her how much mental health shapes everything else. Some of what she brings to the work came the hard way: she earned her PMHNP while working full-time as a nurse and raising a family. There were long nights and stretches where she questioned whether she could manage it all. Getting through it left her with real respect for perseverance, for the value of support, and for the necessity of self-care, the same things she now talks through with clients facing their own difficult seasons.
Growth and healing are always possible, even when the journey feels difficult.
Outside of work, Blessing cooks and shares meals with family and friends, tends her garden and houseplants, reads, and stays closely involved in her community and church.
